Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic presented a whole series of challenges for teachers at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGro). This writing expresses how teachers were adapting their teaching practices during and after the pandemic, highlighting the transition from the physical classroom to the virtual classroom and from the use of traditional tools to teach to the use of digital resources. Teachers faced the challenge of continuing to teach classes through the virtual modalities to which they had access; this involved adapting to virtual platforms and developing technological skills that they mostly lacked. UAGro implemented emerging training programs to help teachers become familiar with the use of educational tools and platforms such as Google Classroom, video calls, and be able to transform their face-to-face classes into online classes. With the return to normality, post-pandemic teaching combines in-person and virtual elements, transforming into a hybrid model. Face-to-face classes have regained the relevance that characterizes them, allowing face-to-face interaction between teachers and students, the importance of face-to-face teaching as the basis of the educational process continues to be reinforced, however, the experience acquired in the use of digital platforms and media has left a precedent in some of the teachers considering distance teaching and e-learning as a valuable complementary tool in the teaching-learning process, facilitating access to endless resources and educational tools.
