Abstract
Based on the collection of professional and undergraduate testimonies, this paper describes
the development of a philosophy outreach project at the Autonomous University of the State
of Mexico. It presents different approaches stemming from academic and school needs,
extending to experiential, virtual, and interconnected oral communication across various
technological platforms. These platforms reach diverse population segments with the aim of
disseminating philosophy through new philosophical communication strategies, as well as
discovering new didactic approaches to transmitting philosophical knowledge and culture in
central Mexico. The project also serves as a community service space for undergraduate
students from various disciplines, who participate in outreach activities. I-Filos' activities are
divided into two main areas: virtual spaces and professional development talks. Content in
various formats (memes, infographics, videos, live streams) is published on social media
platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, while talks in high schools allow for
direct contact with students, sparking their curiosity and critical thinking. The team is made
up of students of philosophy, literature, and history, who assume specific roles in research,
editing, and digital content creation. In short, I-Filos represents a collective effort to reinterpret
philosophical teaching, moving it beyond its academic rigidity and transforming it into a
vibrant, accessible, and socially engaged practice, capable of engaging with diverse sectors of
the population and adapting to contemporary technological platforms.
