Abstract
This paper analyzes the contextualization of teaching practice as a social, objective, and
intentional process that integrates diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. It
proposes personal, institutional, interpersonal, social, didactic, and value-based dimensions,
highlighting strategies linked to the social context so that students understand the usefulness
of learning in their daily lives. Contextualizing teaching practice involves the direct
implementation of systematic teaching and learning processes, which includes the diagnosis,
planning, implementation, and evaluation of these processes and their results, as well as other
educational activities. Therefore, teaching practice is social, objective, and intentional, and it
also involves the meanings, perceptions, and actions of all those involved in the educational
process: students, teachers, authorities, parents, the system, and others. However, it also
considers the political-institutional, administrative, and regulatory aspects outlined in the
educational project at the national, state, or municipal level. Considering teaching practice as
a complex network of relationships, it becomes necessary to distinguish several dimensions
for better analysis and reflection. These dimensions are: Personal Dimension, Institutional
Dimension, Interpersonal Dimension, Social Dimension, Didactic Dimension, and Values
Dimension. Taking this into account, the contextualization of teaching practice should
involve designing strategies and activities that consider teaching and learning processes
related to the social context, where students can visualize the usefulness of what they have
learned in their daily lives.
