diseñados por equipos docentes, incluyen actividades diagnósticas, ejemplos locales,
ejercicios de listening, speaking y reading, además de evaluaciones y simulacros de
productos esperados. Su implementación incrementó hasta en 14.7% los índices de
aprobación, demostrando eficacia y funcionalidad incluso en comunidades rurales sin
acceso a internet, fortaleciendo la educación inclusiva.

Abstract
This paper demonstrates how the use of workbooks becomes an important tool in
teaching strategies for English language teaching and learning at CECyTEC. The
increase in pass rates in this subject area shows that this strategy has a positive impact
when implemented in different campuses and that this methodology could be
implemented in other states in the future. This conclusion is reached through several
trials; this project began in September 2020, not as a workbook per se, but as a
compilation of activities and exercises. These did not have a significant impact on
students, as the sentences, texts, and examples were unrelated to their daily lives or
immediate reality. There was a lack of graphics or images to help focus the students'
attention, as well as the absence of links for students to continue practicing the
content. Starting in the February-June 2021 semester, all these
adjustments/modifications were made, resulting in more engaging content and
design. They emerged as a response to the lack of connectivity during the pandemic
and were adapted with contextualized content, graphics, and links that facilitated
comprehension. The workbooks, designed by teaching teams, include diagnostic
activities, local examples, listening, speaking, and reading exercises, as well as
assessments and practice tests of expected outcomes. Their implementation increased
pass rates by up to 14.7%, demonstrating effectiveness and functionality even in rural
communities without internet access, thus strengthening inclusive education.

Este artigo demonstra como o uso de livros de exercícios se torna uma ferramenta
importante nas estratégias de ensino e aprendizagem da língua inglesa no CECyTEC.
